About this disclaimer

This disclaimer applies to diyai.io, our articles, reviews, comparisons, datasets, guides and other editorial content, and the tools available through DIY AI Studio.

Our editorial content is provided for general information and education. Studio provides AI-assisted creation and processing features. Neither should be treated as professional advice or a guarantee of a particular result.

This page explains important limitations and responsibilities. It is not a complete Studio subscription agreement and does not override the terms presented and agreed to when you purchase, or your statutory rights.

No professional advice

Our content and tool outputs are not a substitute for advice from a qualified legal, financial, tax, medical, security or other relevant professional. They are not tailored professional assessments of your circumstances.

Do not rely on an article, AI-generated answer, transcript, calculation or recommendation as the sole basis for a decision that could materially affect someone’s health, finances, rights, safety or livelihood. Check important information and obtain appropriate professional advice.

Accuracy of articles, reviews and comparisons

We aim to publish useful and accurate information. However, products, model capabilities, prices, credit systems, licensing terms and availability can change after publication. Check the provider’s current information before making a purchase or committing to a workflow.

Testing results and scores reflect the tasks, settings, access and methodology used at the time. They do not establish that a tool will perform equally well on every prompt, account, language, dataset or use case. Opinions and rankings involve editorial judgment.

Examples, cost calculations and performance estimates depend on their stated assumptions. They are not promises of earnings, savings, search rankings, traffic, conversions or other business outcomes.

AI-generated content can be wrong or unsuitable.

Studio outputs are generated or transformed using AI. They can contain factual mistakes, invented details, bias, inappropriate material, visual or audio defects, or content that does not follow your instructions. Similar inputs may produce different results, and different users may receive similar outputs.

Generated or edited photographs and videos are not evidence that a person did something or that an event occurred. Photo restoration, animation and enhancement can invent details rather than recover the original scene. A convincing voice or likeness does not establish identity, consent or endorsement.

Transcripts and generated speech can misrepresent names, numbers, punctuation, meaning or pronunciation. Review transcripts against the original recording and listen to generated audio before publishing or relying on it.

You should review and, where necessary, edit outputs before using them. An output appearing in Studio does not mean that DIY AI has checked or endorsed it.

Your uploads, permissions and acceptable use

You are responsible for having the rights and authority needed to upload your material, request the intended processing and use or distribute the result. This can include copyright licences, confidentiality permissions and consent from identifiable people.

Only clone or synthesise a real person’s voice with their informed permission for that use. Permission to make a recording does not automatically permit voice cloning, and permission to create a synthetic voice does not automatically permit every form of publication or advertising.

Do not use Studio to create or distribute unlawful material, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual content involving minors, fraudulent endorsements or harmful impersonations. Do not use synthetic voices or images to defeat identity checks, deceive someone about who they are dealing with, or facilitate fraud. Do not attempt to bypass safety controls or gain unauthorised access to accounts, files or systems.

Use involving children requires particular care, appropriate authority and compliance with applicable restrictions. Account holders must meet any eligibility and age requirements stated for the service and the selected feature.

Where disclosure of AI generation or alteration is required by law, a platform or the context in which the content is used, provide a clear and appropriate disclosure.

Copyright, ownership and commercial use

You retain any rights you already hold in the material you upload. Using Studio does not give you rights in someone else’s photograph, recording, music, character, logo, trademark, likeness or other protected material.

Permission to use an output commercially depends on the applicable service terms, the selected model or feature, rights in your inputs and the intended use. A paid Studio subscription does not by itself establish that every output is cleared for every commercial purpose.

Permission to use an output and whether that output qualifies for copyright protection are separate questions. We do not guarantee that an output is unique, copyright-protected, registrable as a trademark, free from third-party rights or suitable for exclusive ownership.

Before using output in advertising, client work, a product, a music release or another commercial project, check the applicable restrictions and obtain any additional permissions needed. AI-generated music is not automatically free of licensing obligations, distribution restrictions or rights claims.

Third-party models and services

Studio integrates third-party AI and infrastructure services. A tool available through Studio may differ from the provider’s own website or consumer application in features, settings, limits and licensing arrangements.

Model availability, processing times and output behaviour can be affected by provider capacity, safety checks, technical changes or outages. These dependencies do not remove our responsibility to provide the service you purchased in accordance with applicable law and the terms agreed with you.

References to a company, product, model, logo or trademark do not imply that the owner endorses DIY AI or that DIY AI owns the underlying technology.

Subscriptions, introductory offers and credits

Before purchasing, review the checkout information for the amount due now, the offer period, included credits, renewal price, billing frequency, currency and cancellation arrangements. An introductory offer may be paid rather than free. Where automatic renewal has been clearly disclosed and agreed, renewal payments continue until cancellation takes effect.

Generation costs depend on the selected model and settings, including factors such as duration, resolution and the number of outputs. A credit allowance does not promise a fixed number of successful or publication-ready results across every model. Review the credit requirement shown before submitting a job.

Credit expiry, renewal, rollover and the treatment of failed or rejected jobs depend on the applicable terms disclosed for your purchase. This disclaimer does not introduce a blanket “no refunds” rule or remove a remedy you are entitled to by law.

To avoid an unwanted renewal, use the available cancellation process before the stated renewal time. Contact info@diyai.io promptly if you cannot cancel or believe that a charge or credit deduction is incorrect. Include the relevant account, payment or job reference, but do not send your full card details or password.

Availability, storage and technical issues

AI processing may involve queues, failed requests, safety rejections or results that require further attempts and editing. Unless an express commitment has been made for your purchase, we do not promise a particular completion time, continuous access to an individual model or a specific creative result.

Keep your own copies of important originals and completed outputs. Do not treat Studio history, a saved project or a provider-hosted download link as a permanent archive unless that storage commitment is expressly included in your plan. Storage and deletion practices are explained in our Privacy Policy.

These precautions do not exclude our responsibility for a failure to provide agreed services or to use reasonable care and skill. Contact us about a technical problem so that we can investigate and consider the appropriate remedy.

Privacy and confidential information

Studio requests may involve transferring prompts, files and related information to external providers. Do not assume that a paid account means all processing occurs on your device, stays within the United Kingdom or is subject to zero retention.

Do not submit confidential client material, sensitive personal information or data subject to special contractual or regulatory requirements unless you have checked that the relevant workflow and agreements support the intended use. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling; this disclaimer does not authorise us to disregard those responsibilities.

Affiliate links, paid testing and our own products

Some links on DIY AI are affiliate links. We may receive a commission when you purchase through them, at no additional cost to you for using the link. You should still compare prices, terms and suitability before buying.

We may receive testing fees, complimentary subscriptions, credits, product access or other support from providers. Such arrangements do not purchase a favourable verdict or guaranteed ranking. Relevant commercial relationships are disclosed with the content concerned; this general notice is not a substitute for a clear disclosure where a recommendation appears.

DIY AI operates Studio and benefits financially from Studio subscriptions and purchases. Recommendations of our own Studio therefore involve an interest in our own product, rather than an independent third-party recommendation.

External links and third-party purchases

Links to other websites are provided for reference or convenience. The relevant operators control their content, availability, privacy practices, and services.

When you buy directly from another provider, you purchase from that provider under its terms. This is different from purchasing a Studio service from DIY AI, for which we retain our own responsibilities.

Your legal rights and our responsibility

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing here removes your statutory consumer rights, including applicable rights relating to digital content, services provided with reasonable care and skill, and remedies where a service is faulty or does not match what was agreed.

Explaining the limitations of AI is not a waiver of our responsibility for our own breach of contract, negligence or other legal obligations. We do not require you to give up a valid claim as a condition of using the website or Studio.

Changes and contact

We may update this disclaimer as our services or legal obligations change. The latest revision date appears at the top. An update does not retrospectively remove rights relating to an earlier purchase or replace any notice or agreement required for a material change.

For questions, corrections, reports of misuse or concerns about this disclaimer, contact info@diyai.io.
